The hometown crowd was rewarded with a dramatic ending, as the South Range
Mariners staged a comeback win over the Waikiki Rabbits by the count of 8 to
7.

South Range had the game winning rally in the bottom of the 9th inning with 3
runs on 2 base hits. After an out was recorded, Delmon Young started the
rally when he doubled. Adam Jones stepped up next and he drew a walk.
Yonder Alonso then rifled a three-run blast resulting in an exciting win for
South Range and a raucous post-game celebration by the home town fans. South
Range banged out 13 hits on the afternoon.

The win went to Zach Putnam(1-0) who allowed no runs in 1 and 1/3 innings.
Fautino De Los Santos(0-1) suffered the loss in relief. He allowed South
Range 3 runs in 2 and 1/3 innings of work.

Mike Swanson was all smiles after the ballgame, 'It sure was looking pretty
dim there for a while, but our guys never gave up - and neither did our fans
- they kept cheering us on. What a sweet win!'
