Mike Minor went 8 solid innings as the New York Metz topped the South Range
Mariners by a score of 7 to 1 at SAFECO Field.
South Range was unable to claim the lead after New York went ahead in the top
of the 5th inning scoring a single run on 2 hits. After two outs Erick Aybar
delivered a one-base hit. Giancarlo Stanton stepped up next and he doubled.
South Range was out-hit by New York, 13 hits to 4.
The victory went to Minor(1-0) who went 8 innings, allowing 1 run. Clayton
Richard(0-1) was charged with the loss. He gave up 10 hits and no walks in 8
innings.
