The South Range Mariners easily topped the Greenville Black Sox; the final
score was 7 to 1.
 
South Range took the lead off Kyle Lohse in the first inning plating 2 runs
utilizing 3 base hits.  Michael Bourn opened up the inning nicely when he
ripped a one-base hit.  Mike Swanson then called for a steal which was
successful.  Alcides Escobar then slapped a single.  Two outs later Joe Mauer
stepped up to the plate and he doubled.  Nick Swisher struck out, unable to
help the rally.  That was all the runs Bud Norris(1-0) needed.  South Range
had 11 hits for the game and Greenville had 6.  
 
Lohse(0-1) was the losing pitcher.  He pitched 6 innings and surrendered 6
hits and 2 walks.
