Joel Hanrahan went 3 and one third strong innings and Michael Bourn went deep
and had 3 RBI as the South Range Mariners bested the New York Metz in 13
innings 7 to 5 at SAFECO Field.
 
The score was knotted at 5 after nine innings.  South Range was victorious in
the 13th inning.  Nick Swisher led off and keyed the rally when he drew a
walk.  One out later, Jack Hannahan followed, but he was set down on strikes.
John Buck then blasted a two-run home run giving South Range the win and
sending the home town fans into a frenzy.  Both teams totaled 11 hits on the
night.  
 
The winning pitcher was Hanrahan(1-0) who allowed no runs in 3 and 1/3
innings. Darren Oliver(0-1) was tagged with the loss in relief.
