Pedro Alvarez collected 2 extra-base hits and scored 3 times as the Gotham
City Gargoyles bested the South Range Mariners in 11 innings 5 to 4 at SAFECO
Field.
 
Both teams were tied at 4 runs apiece after nine innings.  Gotham City came
out the victor in the 11th inning.  Alvarez singled.  Mike Napoli was next to
bat, but he was a strikeout victim.  Chris Denorfia then tripled.  Gotham
City had 10 hits for the game and South Range had 5.  
 
The winning pitcher was Brian Duensing(4-5) who allowed no runs in 5 innings.
Brian Burres(4-6) was charged with the loss in relief.  
 
When questioned, Wayne Foulke remarked, 'It's been a while since a win felt
this good - heck, it's been a while since we had a win period!'
