At SAFECO Field, the South Range fans witnessed a great pitcher's duel. Dan
Straily(1-0) finally bested his Alaska opposite, Doug Fister(0-1), by the
score of 4 to 0.
Straily was in control of the game from the outset. He allowed just 4 hits
and 2 walks in 7 and 2/3 innings. After the 4th inning, neither team was
able to score.
Fister was hit with the loss. He got hit pretty hard, allowing 12 hits and 3
walks in 7 innings.
