Jered Weaver whiffed 11 batters as the Mansfield Mounties bested the South
Range Mariners 6 to 0 at SAFECO Field.

Weaver(11-5) was indeed brilliant as he hand-cuffed the South Range offense.
He was stingy on the mound, allowing just 5 hits and 2 walks in 9 innings
seeing his ERA drop from 3.39 to 3.16. Mansfield had a total of 10 hits for
the game.

The losing pitcher was Wade Leblanc(1-1). He pitched 5 and 1/3 innings giving
up 7 hits and 3 walks. Weaver didn't realize how many strikeouts he was
racking up. When told he had 11 he was obviously surprised, 'No kidding?
Man, I knew that I had a decent total, but I didn't think I had K'd that
many. Say, that's pretty good, isn't it?'

Three Mariners Pitchers Team Up To Shut Out Mounties, 1-0.

At SAFECO Field, the South Range fans witnessed a great pitcher's duel. Joel
Pineiro(6-6) finally bested his Mansfield opposite, Johnny Cueto(7-4), by the
score of 1 to 0.

South Range claimed the early lead in the first inning scoring a single run.
That early run support was all that Pineiro required. Mansfield threatened
in the 9th but South Range was able to put down the rally.

Pineiro got help from Joel Hanrahan who earned his 19th save. Cueto was the
losing pitcher. He was stingy with the baserunners, allowing just 3 hits and
1 walk in 6 innings.

Swisher Homers, Mariners Win.

The Dublin GaelForce had an easy time of it at SAFECO Field defeating the
South Range Mariners in 11 innings by a score of 8 to 2.

The score was tied at 2 after nine. Dublin came out the victor in the 11th
inning. The key offensive moment was provided by David Dejesus who helped
quiet the crowd when he doubled plating all three baserunners. Dublin
finished with 10 hits while South Range ended up with 7.

Francisco Rodriguez(2-1) allowed no runs in 2 innings, and picked up the
victory. The losing pitcher was Aneury Rodriguez(1-1) in relief. For Dublin
the victory was a welcome one, indeed. They had been struggling in their
last ten games with a disappointing 2-8 record. Still in a bad slump, with
this loss, South Range is 2-8 lately and 43-44 on the year.

and Jon Lester mowed down 10 South Range batters as the Alaska Hot Stoves
beat the South Range Mariners by a score of 8 to 1.

Lester(12-1) was very good in the win. He allowed just 6 hits and 3 walks in

Joel Pineiro(5-6) was the losing pitcher. He allowed 3 homeruns in 7 and 2/3

'Well, I felt pretty confident in my pitches tonight. But, I had great
support behind me and I just threw what was called. That was an extremely
well called game!'
