Justin Morneau hit 2 doubles and had 3 RBI and Clayton Richard completed the
game without help from the bullpen at SAFECO Field as the South Range
Mariners beat the Plum Island Greenheads 8 to 1.
Richard(3-1) pitched a solid game. He didn't give up much, just 6 hits and 2
walks in 9 innings dropping his ERA from 3.16 to 2.74. South Range had 13
hits for the night.
The losing pitcher was Joe Blanton(0-1). He was unable to control the South
Range offense and allowed 9 hits and 2 walks in 4 and 1/3 innings.
