In a lop-sided win the Alaska Hot Stoves ripped the South Range Mariners by a
8 to 2 count.

South Range was unable to climb back into it after Alaska went ahead for good
in the 5th inning when they tallied 2 runs on 2 hits. The critical plate
appearance was by Logan Morrison who silenced the stadium when he popped a
two-run clout over the fence. Alaska finished with 11 hits while South Range
ended up with 8.

The victory was credited to Homer Bailey(2-3) who went 8 innings, allowing 2
runs. Bud Norris(3-4) was hit with the loss. For Alaska the victory was a
welcome one, indeed. They had been struggling in their last ten games with a
disappointing 2-8 record. With this loss, South Range has a 4-6 record of
late, 21-20 overall.

Hot Stoves Beat Mariners 7-3.

Alexi Ogando went 9 strong innings at SAFECO Field where the Waikiki Rabbits
beat the South Range Mariners by the score of 4 to 0.

Waikiki plated all the runs they needed in the 4th inning when they scored 4
runs on 2 hits. The critical plate appearance was by Ryan Hanigan who
silenced the crowd when he launched a rocket-shot out of the park for a Grand
Slam homerun. Neither team managed to score after the 4th inning.

Ogando(3-1) was credited with the shutout. Clayton Richard(2-1) was charged
with the loss. He allowed Waikiki 4 runs in 3 and 1/3 innings of work.

Ogando was obviously very pleased with his performance in the aftermath of the
game, 'It was just one of those games where everything worked. My arm felt
great, heck, I could have pitched another two or three innings. I only hope
that I can do it again next time out!'

Mariners Post 3 Runs In The 8th To Win.
