Yu Darvish retired 14 batters on strikeouts at SAFECO Field as the South Range
Mariners came back dramatically to top the Mansfield Mounties by the score of
3 to 2.
 
South Range had the winning rally in the 9th inning plating 2 runs. Adam Jones
led off the inning for South Range when he drew a walk.  After an out was
recorded, Joe Mauer stepped up to the plate and he drew a walk.  Nick Swisher
then drew a walk to load the bases.  Yonder Alonso followed and he reached on
an error giving South Range the victory as 45,367 happy fans celebrated
wildly.  South Range had only 5 hits for the game.  
 
The win was credited to Joel Hanrahan(1-0) who went 1 inning allowing no runs.
Pedro Strop(0-3) took the loss in relief.  He gave up 2 runs and no hits in
1/3 of an inning.  
 
Mike Swanson was all smiles after the ballgame, 'It sure was looking pretty
dim there for a while, but our guys never gave up - and neither did our fans
- they kept cheering us on.  What a sweet win!'
